The Cross Body
A cross-body bag is the ideal styling secret for the modern woman. A chic low-key style statement that can carry the bare essentials in a carefree hands-free fashion. This is my favourite of the new collection –
I love the blue version and wanted to steal it from the campaign shoot. It works whether clashing or complementing the outfit, and could easily flit from work to play.
I’d take this bag to my favourite UK festival – Port Eliot in Cornwall – with my camera, shades and a print headscarf inside.
I’d wear it with an Aztec print sundress, or, for down-time just with denim and a white tee, jazzed up with stripy hair bobbles and my bunny-necklace.
The Chiltern tote is perfect for everyday running round, to the market or the beach on holiday, or in my bicycle basket on Portobello Road. In a variety of rainbow-bright shades, it’s eye-catching as well as being brilliantly practical.
I can easily fit everything I need for a day on the move in this bag – a newspaper, bottle of water, shades, and my iPad. I’ll take it to the park, or the beach, and everywhere on my bike.
I’ll style it dressed-down in jeans and hi-tops, with a beloved old sweatshirt. Or with a favourite sundress and sandals or plimsolls.
This is the bag that needs to get me through my hectic days – juggling shoots, kids, dog and the occasional peaceful day in my studio writing. My everyday bag needs to be chic but practical – I need lots of pockets as I am always the girl in a panic having ‘definitely’ lost my phone and keys!
This bag will take me from VOGUE editorial meetings to a last -minute trip on the Eurostar, or to the football pitch for my son’s very important football match. I’ll carry my beauty essentials, Macbook Air, and a novel.
The right bag makes me feel prepared and ready for anything. I’d wear this one with my every day ‘uniform’, usually leggings or a Gap cropped trouser with a Cos shirt and wedge ankle boots.
